Tom Parr

Founder & Chief Pilot

Tom started his career in the United States Navy where he served 8 years and completed 3 successful deployments. Upon completing his military service, he successfully completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Purdue. With 10 years of hands-on experience designing, commissioning, and maintaining 200+ MW of utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and microgrids. He has performed acceptance testing and O&M BESS projects. Tom has also specialized in electrical hot-spot identification, inverter, and electrical system troubleshooting. He has a deep familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and utility interconnection requirements.

Tom has created this company with a unique blend of deep power-systems engineering expertise, drone certifications, and advanced equipment which positions PyroVision Media as being one of the highest-credibility thermal drone service providers for consumer markets and critical renewable energy infrastructures in the area. When Tom is not flying drones, you will either find him on the water fishing in his kayak or spending quality time with his family.
